Wendy’s 20+ years of experience began with a large multi-national recruitment firm.  “I became interested in recruitment after graduating from university but realized early on that the industry norms were not for me.  I needed the freedom to follow my instincts and do things differently.” With that in mind, Wendy decided to take a risk and combine her rather limited business knowledge with her entrepreneurial family roots.  She bravely ventured out to create IT MindFinders. “I was particularly inspired at the time by a cover of BC Business magazine featuring a sparkling white porcelain toilet and the headline ‘What’s Your Company’s Reputation?’.  This article inspired me.  I wanted my company to have a great reputation and this desire has without question genuinely shaped the way that I’ve done business from day one.  On May 10, 2020, IT MindFinders celebrates its 20th anniversary.  I’m proud of our 2 decades.”

Wendy’s passion for travel has taken her to dozens of fascinating destinations around the globe with her most cherished adventure a 5-week, Fiat driven, pasta-eating marathon in Italy.  Besides pouring her energy into work and travel, family, friendship and motherhood top her list, providing the greatest source of joy and contentment.

After completing her Bachelor of Business Degree from Simon Fraser University, Sarah spent 16 years in Human Resources positions within the financial and automotive sectors.  Sarah was introduced to IT MindFinders in 2000 and soon after, became a client.  “I’d worked with external recruitment firms prior to meeting Wendy and soon appreciated that IT MindFinders’ approach to the process and experience for those involved was very different.”   In 2013, an opportunity presented itself for Sarah to join the IT MindFinders team and she’s never looked back.  “I wanted a challenging career that also allowed me the flexibility to spend more time with my family.  Our searches are always very challenging so it’s exciting to help a company find their ‘holy grail’ person.  We have fun, no day is ever the same, I constantly meet incredible people, and it’s very gratifying to place somebody in a role they love.”

Outside of her work life, Sarah is VP of Dispute Resolutions and Personal Assistant to two “spirited” kids, a hard-working husband and an overly affectionate Bernedoodle named Molly.  With this has come a much deeper appreciation of wine and needless to say, precious time to herself.
